The community center is a gathering place for groups of all kinds- from clubs to birthday parties and more. Also has recreational opportunities, including the skate park, playground, tennis courts, hockey rink, warming house, pump track, commercial kitchen (incubator for start-ups), and Little League fields.
The Cook County Volunteer Youth Program is designed for 11-14-year-old students to facilitate youth volunteerism. In exchange for volunteering, youth earn credit to participate in an activity of their choice, including golf passes, school trips, music lessons, dance and movement classes, athletic fees, or other cultural or recreational activities within Cook County. Participants volunteer at one of many partnering government and non-profit agencies in the community. Upon completion of 25-50 volunteer hours, the participant receives an Exchange Credit Certificate redeemable for their chosen activity.
