The Cook County Volunteer Youth Program is designed for 11-14-year-old students to facilitate youth volunteerism. In exchange for volunteering, youth earn credit to participate in an activity of their choice, including golf passes, school trips, music lessons, dance and movement classes, athletic fees, or other cultural or recreational activities within Cook County. Participants volunteer at one of many partnering government and non-profit agencies in the community. Upon completion of 25-50 volunteer hours, the participant receives an Exchange Credit Certificate redeemable for their chosen activity. Contact Anna Klobuchar at the Cook County Community Center or visit the Youth Volunteer Program webpage.

The library is a welcoming space for children and families to learn, connect, and grow together. We support early literacy and lifelong reading through books, story times, and engaging programs, while also offering opportunities for play, creativity, and parent connection. From hands-on activities and reading challenges to informal spaces that invite curiosity and exploration, the library is a free-to-use, public place where families can build skills, relationships, and a love of learning. The Library is part of the Arrowhead Library System.
The Community Center is open Monday-Friday from 8 am-4:30 pm! Follow for updates on events and activities.
